- The hydrostatic test consists of filling a piece of equipment with water at test pressure, for a given period of time, to check for leakages. The test is passed if the equipment bears the test pressure without any leakage according to standards API-6A and ASME B31.1.
- This hydrostatic test is made at period intervals to determine if the equipment is suitable for continued service. This Testing is performed in SCS Test bay or on-site.
